decision to try

Your Beliefs About Yourself (i.e. Your Self Concept/Self Image) largely Determine Your Destiny. If you believe something is beyond you, even if it is not, you will never try and thus sabotage yourself by “pre-failing”. Although you may turn out to be correct about your ability to achieve your ultimate goal, you will miss the growth experience of trying, the people you meet along the way, and the intermediate goals you may successfully achieve. You may be right, the person you are today might not be able to do “it” whatever it is. But the “you” that you will become after multiple efforts might just be able to accomplish aforesaid “it”. Also, if you do not reach your original goal, you will see new things along the way, discover new perspectives, and uncover previously hidden talents and interests that might suggest different, better goals.

Closing Quotes:

“Think you can, think you can’t, you are right.”

“While thoughts have power, it is your deeply held BELIEFS which have the greatest effect on your life. Your beliefs will inform your thoughts, produce feelings and actions based on those beliefs. So it is essential that you begin to believe in your own power. You need to believe in your own power, REALLY believe it; not just wishfully think it. Not just say ‘I believe in myself’ in some sort of self-help sound bite-type way, while inside part of you is disagreeing.” – Genevieve Davis, Becoming Magic: A Course in Manifesting an Exceptional Life
