self-improvement wordle

When I first started blogging on ‘Personal Leadership’, someone approached me and in effect said: “How can you write about such things? You are no better than the rest of us!”

And of course, he was right! As my wife well knows, I am a terribly flawed human being and my blogs are frankly aspirational, representing things I know but all too frequently do not do as often as I should.

I blog to share/teach what I most want to learn;  My blogs and quotes represent who I aspire to be, the person whom I am committed to become, but not always whom I am yet. My blogs are the mountain top I journey toward, myself at my potential best, which is, unfortunately, not always my daily self. I sincerely believe that one of the best ways to change is to keep your desired vision constantly in the forefront of your mind as possible, blogging helps me do that. Thoughts held in mind, attract in kind. What you focus on, expands. Look where you want to go. I love quotes because a good quote summarizes an important body of wisdom or focuses ones energies or inspires and motivates.

And yet, as day by day I stumble through life, striving to be better at dusk than I was at dawn, I also cheerfully embrace the Chinese proverb: “Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without one.”

As always, I share what I most want/need to learn.
