Entrepreneurship has many facets. One of them is the ability to think like a street kid.
Tough, nimble, resourceful, relying solely on your own skills to survive. Wikipedia defines a street kid as one “deprived of family care and protection.” Entrepreneurs lack the deep resources of a major corporation standing behind them. No one protects entrepreneurs financially except themselves. Missteps can be fatal. There is no deep pocket to cover slips and falls, shortfalls or mistakes.
The wolf is always at the door, challenge is constant and never ending. The entrepreneur is continually being tested. The willingness to cast certainty and safety to the winds and leap into the chasm is a key attribute of an entrepreneur.
