Fear comes in many disguises, doubt being its most common mask. If our self-image rejects fear or doubt, then excessive “caution”, its close cousin, comes a’calling. Fear of loss or failure is a roadblock for many who fail to realize that the cumulative small losses of spending one’s life “wandering in the wilderness” far exceed any possible loss that striking boldly forth might entail. Plus many “failures” contain within them the seeds of much greater benefits, including powerful lessons that, though perhaps seemingly painfully administered at the time, allow us to achieve heights we only dreamed of before.
In what forms does fear materialize in your mind? What ways have you (yes, you) allowed it to handicap your greatness within? Doesn’t it frustrate you? Motivate you? There are enough real obstacles in life without hindering yourself with ones more illusionary than real!
