We ‘water weeds’ when we waste our time/energy. Weeds come in many forms:

  • Saying yes to the unimportant, to others’ priorities that aren’t ours. Every Yes is a No to something else, always stay aware of what you are implicitly saying no to.
  • Distractions such as social media and endless, frivolous email. Never major in minor things.
  • Thought patterns that do not serve you. “Once you understand the power of your thoughts, you will never think a negative thought again.”
  • Relationships that don’t support you, uplift or inspire you or no longer serve a meaningful purpose in your life. You are the 5 people you spend the most time with.
  • Habits, routines, and behaviors (including dysfunctional coping mechanisms) that hold us back: “You are not responsible as a child for the programing you picked up from your environment but you are responsible as an adult for keeping it.”
