I’ve this theory we all go the same distance in life or at least have the potential to do so. Thing is, a lot of folks spend their lives going in circles or drifting or becalmed without taking to the oars!
If that is what you want, if you are fully aware and okay with it and you burden no one else or society with your maintenance, well and good. So be it. However, what all too often happens is folks wake up at some point and say ‘Whoa! What happened? Everyone else has done something with their lives and me? I’ve squandered my gifts!’
Find a north star, discover your mission, search out your purpose, pick a mountain and start climbing. If you need a clue, consider Joseph Campbell’s thought (lightly edited): ‘The cave you fear most to enter holds the treasure you most need to seek.’
