As a big supporter of the arts, and to pay homage to his hometown of Gainesville and its local Hippodrome Theatre, Nathan created The Collier Challenge, a 10-year dollar for dollar matching program in an effort to fundraise enough to secure the future of the Hippodrome. Nathan believes that the Hippodrome is a “cultural jewel for Gainesville, an incredible asset, and ensuring its long-term viability is important for our artistic future.”
Nathan has pledged to match dollar for dollar up to $100,000 a year for 10 years. The donations accumulated from this program will pay actor’s salaries, script royalties, educational programming, and more for years to come. Another artistic outlet Nathan enthusiastically supports is the Dance Alive National Ballet. Nathan established The Collier Companies Charitable Challenge Grant whereby he will match every donation made to Dance Alive up to the amount of $25,000 for the next 5 years to help ensure the longevity of the program. Nathan is also a huge supporter of the UF Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Preforming Arts and frequents performances when they occur seasonally.
