We all have free time, down time, in between times. Sometimes they are just brief moments, sometimes they stretch on and on. What we do with that time says a lot about our future. There are two ways to go: Alive Time or Dead Time. With Alive Time, we are active, investing in ourselves, learning and growing, stretching and reading, moving onward, forward, and upward. Dead Time? Well, it’s pretty lifeless! It’s passive, it’s drifting, it’s sedentary, it is time spent perfecting the art of being a couch potato, mastering doom scrolling through the dregs of social media.

If we want to make the most of our lives, it behooves us to plan ahead; to have a program ready for how to invest idle moments that others fritter away. Without such forethought, those golden sands of time will slip through our fingers.
