You are programming your mind, day in and day out, whether or not you realize it. The thoughts you CHOOSE to think powerfully affect the emotions you feel, the moods you experience, and the actions you take. While you may not be able to control the thoughts that come to mind, you can certainly control the thoughts that STAY in your mind. You have the power to re-frame anything and your re-frame can significantly impact your effectiveness.

Hot thought: “My wife leaves the house a mess, she does not care about me, she does not carry her fair share of the load.”

Cool thought: “Chill. Admit it, you are a bit on the obsessive-compulsive side when it comes to neatness, and she does make an effort.”

Hot Thought: “Why did we drop the ball? Why can’t we get it right, first time, every time?”

Cool Thought: “You know this is really a first-tier organization and its people are dedicated, committed, and caring—world class in many respects. It is a process! So, relax, enjoy, celebrate, praise, and appreciate.”
