It is in times like these that life takes our “true measure”. In times of crisis, of peril, when the storms of life rage, when the winds blow hard, when night is darkest, when dawn seems but a distant memory… this is our opportunity to shine, to be a light, a beacon in the darkness.

This is our golden opportunity to be our best selves. To support others, to role model rational responses, to stay the course, to remain cool, calm, collected and above: centered. These are the in-between times, a time of waiting. To do nothing when doing nothing is the best course can sometimes be the most difficult discipline.

Stay calm, find your best self, stay there, steadfastly carry on.
