At The Collier Companies, we value the Spirit of Entrepreneurship.

Initiative, creativity, resourcefulness, a can-do attitude, a burning desire to grow and improve, to always be learning; these all are core to our company culture, a deep part of who we are and how we define ourselves. We are invigorated by challenging goals, we find that stretch goals bring out the best in us, BHAGs (Big Hairy Audacious Goals) excite us.

Entrepreneurship is a much broader concept than just starting a business. A true entrepreneur is anyone with the vision to see a better tomorrow and the will to make it happen, a person who accomplishes more with less than others think humanly possible. Furthermore, entrepreneurship is not confined to business; there are social, environmental, and community entrepreneurs.

America is a nation founded by entrepreneurs: In 1776, Britain was the sole superpower of its era, its navy ruled the seas and the sun literally never set on its global empire. Yet our Founding Fathers had the audacity to believe they could conquer such seemingly unsurmountable odds, to attempt what many believed impossible. When folks tell me something is impossible, that the odds are too long, I respond, “I’m glad you were not whispering that into George Washington’s ear at Valley Forge.”
