Believe it or not, in large measure, you are choosing the world you experience. As has been said in many ways and many times, “we see things not as they are, but as we are”. Change your thoughts, adjust your perspective, and your world will change as well. Oh, not overnight but certainly for the better over time; while most underestimate the cumulative impact of modest adjustments, small things do add up: “Success is the sum of efforts, repeated day in and day out.” – Robert Collier, 1885-1950
My personal affirmations to shape and direct my perspective:
“Relax, Release, become the Observer.”*
“I carry the sun in my pocket, the stars in my heart.”
“I live serenely in the present moment, I greet the present moment as a friend.”
It is your one and only life, live it well; daily choose to live your best life, choose to think your best thoughts, focus always forward, onward, upward.
“Loving people live in a loving world. Hostile people live in a hostile world. Same world.” – Wayne Dyer
“The dream you are living is your creation. It is your perception of reality that you can change at any time.” – don Miguel Ruiz
“Your point of view sets you up well in advance for how you view the events as they unfold.” – Mary Anne Radmacher
*This comes from Mickey Singer’s “Untethered Soul” where he suggests we see ourselves as the Observer of our emotions, rather confusing our identity with our emotions.
As always, I share what I most want and need to learn. – Nathan S. Collier
