where your energy goes

Pay attention to your Energy Levels throughout your day; track what consumes your energy and what people, thoughts, and activities power you up. Start with you! Your mindset, your worldview, and what you choose to focus on powerfully impact your internal energy levels as well as the people, events, and energy you attract into your life. Study your daily routine, become deeply aware of the consequences of your habits. Choose your life companions wisely; in many ways you are the sum total of the 5 people with whom you spend the most time.

Journaling is an excellent way to increase your level of self-awareness, to track where your time and energy flow. You may find that the dramatic or others’ priorities or even mundane routines are crowding out the quieter but much more important. Every Yes is a No to something else; make sure your “yeses” reflect YOUR life’s priorities.
