Do you see ego as a reflection of yourself, something you need to defend and protect? Or do you see ego as a tool? A life force you can dial Up or Down as suits the circumstances? Dialing up your confidence level with affirmations before a big challenge, a speech or athletic competition? Dialing ego down when it gets in the way? When feeling insulted or belittled creates strong emotions that interfere with your ability to respond effectively?

Seeing ego as one more tool (instead of who you are) in your life management skills toolbox is a very valuable, powerful mindset. The ability to control and direct your emotions, to stay calm under stress and pressure is a true superpower.
