choose the smileDavid Murdock is Dole Pineapple’s CEO. And he is 90 years young. A 2010 Wall Street Journal picture shows him with a full-face smile, a true smile that includes sparkling eyes.

Murdock, who visualizes living to be 125, follows a strict exercise and nutrition program.

Some might say Murdock is smiling because he is a billionaire; others might wonder if his robust smiling and the happy can-do attitude it represents might have something to do with his success.

Me? I say “choose the smile.” Optimists who choose to smile, people who choose to look on the bright side live longer, are happier, and help those around them to be happier.
