therewith-to-be-content

“For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”*

There you have it folks, the Secret of Happiness, all wrapped up in a pithy quote! Stay contented. No matter what happens, stay cool, calm, and collected, and solution oriented. Surprise: “Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out!” Who’d have guessed? Now all that is left is the application.

When I am cool, calm, and collected i.e. centered and content, I am much more effective than when I am agitated and on edge. Furthermore, such a resource oriented state seems to attract assistance and backing: competence and confidence appeals to others, creates support, captivates and charms.

Doom and gloom, wailing and gnashing of teeth, criticizing and complaining avail you of nothing; cultivating an Attitude of Gratitude and the Habit of Happiness will reap rich rewards.
