No, you can’t walk between raindrops. That is my point.

I use the phrase to illustrate those times when we try to kid ourselves. We think we are getting away with something, but we aren’t and in our heart of hearts we know we aren’t. When you try to walk between raindrops you end up drenched.

If the rain is light and the distance short you may be able to delude yourself for a while, but sooner or later you will find yourself soaked, wet to the skin. I suspect that we all have some area in our lives where we are trying to walk between raindrops. I know I have a few.

It helps to own up to them, if only to yourself for starters.
