None of us are sane. Or at least, we are all a little insane. Sanity after all is not truly binary, black or white; sanity is more like a continuum, a range of values based upon our ability to see and cope with the reality we find ourselves occupying. We all have a dark side, we all struggle with our own private internal issues, moods, and emotions.
Everyone’s exterior appears much more together than their interior truly is; recognizing this can be a source of tremendous peace. Once we accept that we are all human and that we are all flawed, it takes a lot of the pressure off. We certainly do not cease attempting to grow and improve but we do take a lot more in stride and we become more relaxed and effective.
