What is your Prime Directive? What is your Driving Force? Your North Star? Your Rationale for Existence? Your Controlling Principles? Your Mission Statement, Your Purpose?
For me, it is relatively simple: “The Best I Can Be; I Must Be.” Related that is “To Live No Ordinary Life, To Live the Life Extraordinaire”. If asked for one word to describe myself, the answer is simple: “Driven.” Driven to grow, driven to get better, driven to make the most of my God given talents. Driven to leave the world a better place, driven to be as good a dad to my son as my father was to me. Driven to be a good partner, driven to uphold my part of the social contract. Driven to be worthy of the mantle of leadership, driven to be a good steward. Driven to be a good citizen, driven to be a good person, driven to fulfill my duty.
The journey is never ending for any destination is but a weigh station to the next. If we become complacent and begin to coast, entropy and decline quickly set in. What is your Prime Directive, your Fuel, your Passion?
