It is all too easy, in the hurly burly of life, to wake up and find that our life has been hijacked, that we have found ourselves responding willy-nilly to the most pressing things, not the things that reflect OUR true priorities, our deepest values.
What do you say yes to? Do you say yes to the most important things? To the things you hold dearest? Or do you allow the priorities of others to dominate your personal agenda? Simply because they make a louder (not better) case than the still quiet voice deep within that is your truest, most genuine self?
What are your criteria for saying yes? Have you thought it through? Written it down? Journaled about it? Returned to it regularly to ensure that your daily life is aligned with your authentic self? Show me what you say yes to and I will tell you your real values. And unless it coordinates with your desired values, you will likely end up living someone else’s life, a life you will ultimately look back on and regret.
What would you think of a business owner with no plan for their enterprise? No list of priorities for their employees? No score board, no down markers, no goal posts? You are the CEO of your life, you deserve a good business plan, well executed! : )
