Success, however you personally choose to define it, is just a skillset and a very learnable one at that. To be more precise, anyone can move the needle, anyone can improve the circumstances of their life. Never in human history have we been surrounded by so much knowledge so easily accessible. Audible/books on tape allow everyone to turn their car into a mobile university; your ear buds are a lecture hall that allow you to access the sum total of human knowledge.
The rest of the truth is we are also bombarded with more distractions (Social media! Doom scrolling! Click bait!) than ever before. So, as always it boils down to YOU: what are you going to do with this one precious life you have been given? What choices will YOU make? Whatever obstacles and challenges you face, fair or unfair, of your own making or not; if you want to move forward, it is up to YOU to find a way. Seek all the mentors and assistance you can for sure, but realistically the only person who is going to rescue you is staring at you in the mirror.
Make a plan for your life, set goals, and create action steps and accountability check points, define your desired results, journal and come to a deep understanding of yourself, your why’s, your triggers, your strengths to develop, your weaknesses to set guard rails around. Find folk that inspire you, motivate you, challenge you and do your best to return the favor. Find your purpose and make becoming your best self your passion. Pack your own weight, clean up your own messes.
