Whatever your trade, your vocation, whatever your life purpose; make it your mission, make it your calling. In other words, give it your best. For how we do one thing tends to be how we do everything, and sloppiness is like weeds: allow them in your garden and they will soon flourish and take over.
Contribute. Make a difference. To live only for oneself is to live a lonely life. To aspire to better oneself AND the world around you, ah, that gives meaning and direction to living.
