Quite frankly, ideas are a dime a dozen, even good ideas. It’s in the EXECUTION that most ideas succeed or fail. And odds are that if you are far along enough in life to be making a pitch to your boss, you’ve got good ideas. The real question is “Do you have what it takes to make your idea happen?”
Thus, the three questions your boss will be asking at some level of awareness:
“How much does this person believe in this idea?”
“How confident are they when speaking?”
“How determined are they to make this work?”
