“Destitutus ventis, remos adhibe” is a Latin proverb that translates as “If the wind will not serve, take to the oars.” The most successful people in life are resilient and flexible, able to roll with a punch and come back strong. Winners also look within for solutions, using their initiative and resourcefulness to create the outcome they desire, persisting onward in the face of adversity, optimistically confident that ultimate success will eventually be theirs. Champions’ lives tend to be a living embodiment of the proverb “where there is a will, there is a way.”
