Your self-concept, your self-confidence, your degree of self-worth, your self-esteem are all closely related. Collectively, they are your “Sense of Self”, and they powerfully impact your life’s arc. Fortunately, you can have the power to adjust them, to sway them in directions that will serve you. It is an interesting exercise to write out at least a paragraph on each of the above and then reflect upon where in life you picked up these beliefs, what events, circumstances, and people led to their formation. Odds are the process was a bit haphazard to say the least. Perhaps it’s time for a bit of house cleaning?
Step outside yourself, go to the mountain top and remind yourself that you are the creator, you are the script writer and director of this major movie called “My Life”. Adopt the role of “Script Doctor” and re-write to your heart’s content. What you believe you are capable of determines what you attempt, thus your self-concept creates the boundaries of your life. Expand your self-concept and enlarge your life. You are the creator, you are the CEO of your life, your fate is yours to write. Please write well, I fervently want the best for you.
