You are the most important project you will work on your entire life. Think of yourself as a work in progress; approach your life as you would an architect designing a masterpiece and then as the workman entrusted with bringing it to fruition. You study your plans, you think it through, what has to be done and by when and what sequence is best. You can see the beauty of the design and you find it exciting and motivating. You cheerfully work on it every day and you find the progress invigorating and satisfying. Yes, there are setbacks. Materials get delayed, sometimes the wrong ones arrive, occasionally substandard work must be torn out and re-done and there are times plans have to be modified to take into account unforeseen difficulties.
But with every obstacle overcome, with every challenge met you become stronger, more confident, a better, wiser project manager. The creation of ‘Project YOU’, your mind, your body, your character, your habits, your personal and professional skills is a lifelong enterprise. You are the asset that you must work to perfect, actively forming yourself with sustained effort to be your best self more often.
Nothing is ever truly done, everything requires maintenance and upkeep, polishing and tuning, improvement and further development, continuous progress is essential else entropy and stagnation set in. You are greatness in embryonic form, a rich vein of precious metal and jewels awaiting your efforts to bring forth the majesty and grandeur within. Every day is an opportunity to grow.
