You can have ANYTHING you want. You just can’t have EVERYTHING you want.
Choices must be made, resources allocated. And if you want to be literal, you probably can’t really have anything you want. But I promise you that you can have a LOT more things than you probably think you can, IF you want them badly enough.
I can hear some of you saying, “Ahh! I knew there was a catch! “Yes, that is the catch, if you want to call it that.
You’ve got to want something badly enough, deeply enough, with a soul-searing, fire-in-the-belly, go-for-broke, burning sense of urgency. Let go of all you know and throw yourself out into the unknown and never, ever give up. Badly enough to make that “You can have (almost) ANYTHING you want” statement come true.
Yep, sacrifices must be made. Few great things ever were done without great effort. Faint heart never won fair lady.
If you don’t want it that badly, that’s okay. I dream about a lot of things I’d like to have or do if they did not require so much effort or energy. That’s okay as long as you come to terms with it AND in enough areas of your life, you do desire enough.
You must focus and select, pick and choose. Be wary of dissipating your energy, your desire power. If everything is a priority, nothing is a priority. Spend your energies well. Life is not a dress rehearsal.
Have you thought through your life goals? Have you picked out the major accomplishments you want to achieve in life? Is your life aligned to achieve what your soul sings for?
Closing quotes:
“Those who restrain desire, do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained.” – William Blake
“A shot glass of desire is greater than a pitcher of talent.” – Andy Munthe
“Image creates desire. You will want what you imagine. – J. G. Gallimore
