Ah! Why would anyone go in search of dissatisfaction? Well, complacency is the biggest enemy of champions. As Andrew Grove, the founder of Intel, famously titled his book, “Only the Paranoid Survive.” Or, as Frank Zappa put it, “All progress is due to dissatisfied men.”
Celebrate your successes, enjoy them, savor them and be mildly suspicious, for within them lie the seeds of over confidence. Wake up EVERY morning and act as if the wolf is at the door, for sooner or later, the wolf WILL appear and only the prepared will thrive.
There is always a better way, there is always some way to get better, do better, be better. If you are not constantly on the lookout for ways to grow and be better, YOU WILL BE LEFT BEHIND. I assure you there is someone out there that is doing all those things. If you don’t want to be the best, you don’t want to be a champion. If you are okay with being in the middle of the pack, that’s fine, you only need to do these things intermittently. But if you want to be the BEST you can be, get busy, and stay busy.
