Our emotions arise from the thoughts we allow into our minds, from the world view we’ve chosen to adopt. Change your mind, change your life. While it may be challenging to control the thoughts that come to mind, you certainly can control the thoughts that stay in mind. Practice managing your moods. What we focus on expands; change your focus and your moods change. Affirmations are powerful ways to direct your thoughts and emotions. Here are some of my personal favorites:

  • “Today, I will judge nothing that occurs.”
  • “I will release all thoughts that hurt.”
  • “I am a Radiant Optimist, I carry the Sun in my pocket, the Stars in my Heart.”
  • “Release brings me peace.”
  • “Peace like a mighty river flows through me, strengthening me, calming me, nourishing me.”
  • “Today, I will live fully in the present moment. Today, I will embrace the present moment as a friend.”
  • “The most important decision I will make today is the decision to be happy!”
