Every week, the trash man comes by and hauls off unwanted stuff; broken stuff, stuff no longer useful. Wouldn’t it be terrific if we had someone who came by every week and got rid of all our mental trash? Our limiting beliefs? Doubts and useless fears? Dysfunctional programs left over from childhood or emotionally scarring experiences?
We have the power, the power to change, the power to leave the past behind. I’m not saying it’s easy, heck, I struggle with my own demons and have plenty of my own mental trash. And yet at times I’ve managed to clean house a bit, discard some old patterns and adopt some new ones, and man oh man, the benefits and the multiplier effect have been awesome.
