How we choose to see the world powerfully impacts our responses. The way we interpret events, the worldviews we select as our own, all come together to help create the world we experience. If our goal is more healthy eating, then choosing to frame passing on a fatty, sugary desert as a “sacrifice” is probably not the best possible choice of frame! Words and thoughts are powerful; they are the source of our emotions and program our worldview.
When you have the maturity, insight, and wisdom to change a negative, giving your power away “I Can’t Have That” into a powerful, affirmative “I Don’t Want That” then you’ve made an awesome step forward.
