Tikkun olam is a Hebrew phrase that is often translated as “repair the world”. In traditional Jewish teachings it is usually thought of as properly observing religious rituals and living in ways that contribute to society by word and deed. In more modern Jewish society, tikkun olam stands for any activity that improves the world and implies a moral duty to so behave.
I suggest to you that everyone of us has an obligation to leave the world a better place for having lived and today is a very good day to start.
