Hey, the future is going to come and if you want a better future, you’d best start doing something about it today. The most basic thing is to have a Life Plan, goals for every one of the six major roles (see footnote) you have in life and action plans and accountability checkpoints as well, and I recommend journaling as an excellent way to keep your focus on your purpose.
However, this blog is about directing your future in a more subtle, nuanced way. Thoughts held in mind attract in kind, what you focus on expands, look where you want to go. You will attract the future that you think about, that you believe you deserve. So, raise your ‘healthy deserve level’! Someone is going to win the prize, why not you? Believe wholeheartedly in yourself for the world takes you at your word; whatever your unconscious self-appraisal, that is what you are broadcasting and that is what folks will take to heart. Visualize the life you dream of, believe you can make it come true… and then go do the hard work of doing what it takes. Dreaming, visualizing is a powerful first step but only a first step.
Today is the future you created yesterday; what are you creating for tomorrow?
