There is no finish line, only another day and another race. Yes, death awaits us all but I am speaking of the finish line in the sense of completion of all there is to do or be or experience or learn. Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. Life goes on, it always has and it always will. Everywhere you go, there you are. So run the swift race; give your best and at the same time savor the view, delight in the process, enjoy the journey for the destination is but a way station, the “finish” line but a check point, a resting place before then next event; anything else is an illusion.
