How can failure be good? The answer lies in the distinction between Good Failure and Bad Failure:
– Good Failure comes from a “Good Heart/Awake Mind” mistake
i.e. intelligent experimentation, or pushing the edge of the envelope
– Bad Failure is rooted in a “Lazy/Careless” mistake
i.e. complacency or unwillingness to do the hard work of preparation
Supporting, even celebrating, good failure is essential to success. Tolerating bad failure is the road to ruin.
